The unit has an inbuilt AC Transfer switch function that seamlessly transitions your inverter from running off your 12V battery supply to mains power. Useful for those travelling in caravans, camper trailers, touring setups, or boats, it’s ideal when you’ve decided to set up somewhere where you’ve got access to mains/AC power, like at a powered site at a caravan park. The feature will cut the inverter’s 12V supply when it detects AC power, saving your batteries from discharging and allowing for a more efficient power transfer. The AC switching feature is easy to use too – use an IEC lead to plug into the inverter, then hook the other end to a mains power point and turn the power on. When connected to mains power, the inverter can produce up to 3600W, making it perfect for running even larger appliances.

Producing a pure sine wave output, the inverters will generate consistent, smooth, and clean power, just like you’d get from a mains connection. This means that the inverter will comfortably power sensitive appliances without the risk of damaging them. Appliances that require a higher wattage to start up can also be run – the 3000W inverter will produce up to 6000W for 2 seconds. Engineered with a larger heat sink and advanced internal circuitry, the inverter runs noticeably quieter than other inverters, even when running larger loads.

The inbuilt Residual Current Device (RCD) switch is arguably the inverter’s most important safety feature. Operating very similarly to your house system, the RCD Switch is made to detect anomalies running through your inverter and then immediately shut off the supply to reduce the risk of injury, damage, and electrocution. Additionally, the inverter has inbuilt over/under-voltage, short-circuit/overload, and over-temperature protections.

Giving the inverter the ability to run more conservatively, our 3000W model has an eco-mode function. When turned on, this function will drop the inverter’s output so that when there is no detected output, the unit will run with a draw of less than 0.2A rather than 1.6A.

The inverter has a 15A AC port and a dedicated hard wire terminal block. Ideal for hardwiring power points in caravans, this allows for easy AC power distribution throughout the setup.

On top of the inverter, the screen displays useful information about the inverter’s draw and condition. In real-time, it will show the input voltage, output voltage, outgoing current, and the inverter load capacity.

The inverter comes complete with a heavy-duty mounting flange to secure the unit, and a remote control with 5m lead.

Useful for those travelling in caravans, camper trailers, touring setups, or boats, it’s ideal when you’ve decided to set up somewhere where you’ve got access to mains/AC power, like at a powered site at a caravan park. The feature will cut the inverter’s 12V supply when it detects AC power, saving your batteries from discharging and allowing for a more efficient power transfer. The AC switching feature is easy to use too – use an IEC lead to plug into the inverter, then hook the other end to a mains power point and turn the power on. The inverter can produce up to 2400W when connected to mains power, making it perfect for running even larger appliances.

Producing a pure sine wave output, the inverters will generate consistent, smooth, and clean power, just like you’d get from a mains connection. This means that the inverter will comfortably power sensitive appliances without the risk of damaging them. Appliances that require a higher wattage to start up can also be run – the 1000W inverter will produce up to 2000W for 2 seconds. Engineered with a larger heat sink and advanced internal circuitry, the inverter runs noticeably quieter than other inverters, even when running larger loads.

The inbuilt Residual Current Device (RCD) switch is arguably the inverter’s most important safety feature. Operating very similarly to your house system, the RCD Switch is made to detect anomalies running through your inverter and then immediately shut off the supply to reduce the risk of injury, damage, and electrocution. Additionally, the inverter has inbuilt over/under-voltage, short-circuit/overload, and over-temperature protections.

The inverter comes complete with a heavy-duty mounting flange to secure the unit, and a remote control with 5m lead.

The DC-DC works by converting the power from your alternator into a charge voltage that carefully, but quickly, suits the status, and chemistry of your auxiliary battery all without affecting your vehicle’s starter battery. Ask any full-time tourer to tell you about some of the biggest challenges while travelling the country and you’ll likely find their answer has something to do with 12V power and space. Our 105Ah Slimline Lithium Batteries look to solve both these problems.

Built into a narrow 50mm heavy-duty aluminium case, the batteries are ideally suited to being mounted behind the rear seats in a 4×4 cab, or up on the wall of a canopy, allowing you plenty of extra space to pack the rest of your gear. The batteries can be mounted in any orientation and come with eight brackets, giving you plenty of flexibility in how you decide to mount the unit.

Engineered using high-quality aluminium-encased prismatic cells, our 105Ah battery weighs just 14kg and has excellent vibration resistance qualities making it ideal for those looking to set out on a cross-country trip. The battery has a full 105Ah of usable power – ideal for running 12V fridges, lighting, and pumps – but also has the capacity to run even larger items.

Equipped with an advanced internal Battery Management System (BMS), the battery is capable of discharging at 200A continuous which means that it’s able to run a 2000W inverter. This enables the battery to run, through an inverter, your favourite 240V appliances like coffee machines, toasters, and induction cooktops, without skipping a beat – a feat that hasn’t previously been possible with batteries at this size. Additionally, the BMS allows the batteries to be able to be either linked in parallel or series with up to four other batteries to create larger battery banks of up to 420Ah or systems at up to 48V.

The batteries are certified in accordance with some of the country’s most stringent safety and performance standards, have been fully tested and certified by an internationally renowned lab, and are backed by a comprehensive 5-year warranty.

More usable power, longer life

When comparing batteries it is vitally important to understand the difference between nominal and C20 capacity. To reduce confusion and help to standardise the measurement of battery capacity, most reputable battery manufacturers will quote the capacity of their battery in amp-hours at C20 (also written as C/20), which means the number of amps the battery can deliver if discharged at a constant rate over a period of 20 hours. Using this standard, a fully-charged battery with a capacity of 100Ah could deliver 5A of current per hour for a period of 20 hours before becoming fully discharged (5A x 20h).

Some disreputable manufacturers, however, will advertise the nominal capacity of their batteries and bury the C20 rating in the fine print. Nominal capacity has no practical application and can be up to 20% higher than the C20 rating, so a battery that is advertised as a 100Ah battery might only be able to deliver 80Ah or even less.

We value our good reputation, and will always quote the C20 rating (or even higher) as the battery’s capacity. This means you can be confident that the power we say our batteries can deliver is not inflated to mislead, create confusion or invite unfair comparisons.

Handy remote reset switch

The Battery Management System (BMS) inside all lithium batteries contains a protection circuit which trips if the voltage drops below a certain setpoint. In the case of Hardkorr batteries, it is set at 10.0V. This circuit prevents damage to the battery by putting it into a ‘sleep’ mode until it is reset.

In the past, resetting the battery after the over-discharge protection was activated was not easy. Whilst some battery chargers do contain a “wake-up” function, most people had to resort to applying a constant voltage above 12V across the terminals using jumper leads or home-made wires. This was fraught with danger; damage to appliances or the battery were not uncommon.

Our batteries provide an easy solution to this problem; simply connect our included remote reset switch to the socket on the top face of the battery and hold down the button for 5 seconds, and the over-discharge circuit will reset itself. The button can also be flush-mounted into your 12v setup if desired.
