I’ve used this product for four months so far along with a few others, and overall this was the best. I typically got about 130W out of it which I was fairly happy with. The accessories were excellent, in particular the regulator was really easy to use and had useful information on it – and the 3 year warranty is best in class. The downsides are it’s very big and heavy. But all round a great product! I did a review at https://youtu.be/pPy_5Lm-Mo0 if you want more info.

I’ve had these now for 1 year and they’ve been used on multiple trips.
The pros are:
They pack nice and flat and don’t take up any space for their size.
The charge controller is good and simple enough to understand and operate. I added extra labels to the plugs as I have a portable setup and don’t leave it plugged in but it is fixed to the box.
Work well in all conditions even when crazy dusty.
Tough and handle the elements without issues.
Keep them pointed north and they’ll work awesome without having to track throughout the day. They topped my 100ah LiFEPO4 back up from 1/4 in a matter of 4-6 hours with the fridge, phone charger, UHF charger and torch charger all still connected.
I’ve seen 10amps but that was mid winter on a cold sunny morning. (FYI panels lose output the hotter they get. 10% for every 5 deg over 25 deg Celsius. So 8ish Amps is good enough for that temperature loss)
The Cons:
There aren’t many but the biggest is the legs for me. I’ve worked out how to maneuver them now so it’s less of an issue, but they keep folding in on themselves which gets annoying if you’re tracking the sun throughout the day.
The charger needs to have the solar plugged in to give an accurate battery capacity. It showed full when the Solar is disconnected but I was dubious after 16hrs of the fridge running constantly. Turns out it was 25%. (I use the Outbax Voltx 100ah FYI)
The cover is a bit flimsy but not totally necessary given the sturdiness of the panels.
Longer cables would be nice or outputs on both sides of the panels, it annoying when they only space at camp puts the solar plug on the opposite side of where the battery is. That’s why I have a portable box now.
Overall I got them on sale and for the price I’d buy them again. The quality is top notch and they perform awesome for my needs which is keeping my 100ah battery box topped up.

I’m happy with the build quality of these panels but haven’t been real impressed with the output so far. Last week I was free camping and using this panel plus an older Ridge Ryder 150W solar blanket I inherited from my parents. Together (in series) they kept my Ecoflow Delta 1300 fully charged each day, but when experimenting with the panels individually, I couldn’t get more than 115W out of the Hard Korr, whilst the RR 150W right next to it was putting out about 120W. Same angle, same light conditions, and unfortunately same output despite the extra 50W rating.
Whilst it’s more practical than the RR blanket, I would have liked to see a higher output, especially given conditions were as close to perfect as you can get.

I’ve had them for 6 months now and used them in a variety of conditions. They are well made but I’ve never seen them get anywhere near the 11A that they are rated to. In full sun and optimising the position the best output I’ve seen is around 7.8A but they do still put out some power under heavy cloud which I didn’t expect. One improvement that HardKorr could make is to make the legs reversible, i.e. so you can flip the panels upside down. This would be very useful when positioning the panels if the sun is on the wrong side of your setup, the included cable being 4m minus the 2.4 of the panel only really leaves you 1.6m of play to position them.
Robert Haywood –
Very Happy so far, solar is very well made, I have not yet had FULL sun for the few days that i have owned it, but I still get 3 or 5 amps in dull sky, 1 or 2 amps in the shade.
The attached legs are great but are difficult to stand back up each time you follow the sun. To help with this i temporarily place a thin piece of timber running through the top of all the legs, so as to lift all panels at the same time while all the legs stay in place, this works most times.
Would also be nice to order this panel without a controller, for those of us who already have a MTTP controller installed. While the supplied controller is a good one it is still just a PWM version.
Supplying a MTTP controller would make this a SUPER Solar, and at not a lot more cost.
Overall a great panel that does what it says, happy so far.

Outstanding 200w panels. Well made and was pumping 8.2 amps into my thumper on the shortest day of the year in slightly overcast conditions. Can’t wait to see how they perform when it warms up and we’re out bush

I’m happy with all my hardkorr products. I have 2x 200amh lithium Hardkorr batteries and a solar crock skin mat and a2bar and 4 bar led camp light sets and I don’t have a negative comment.
Hardkorr are easy to deal with, there products meet all claims and customer service is excellent.
I recommend their products to anyone building or upgrading their power needs.

very happy with my panels they do a great job and even when not in full sunlight still work extremely well.
Nick –
Gday very excited to finally have your 200W solar panel in my kit. My setup was struggling with 120W panel and I’ve been eyeing and researching your products as I have quite a few hardkorr products like lights, roof lights, light bars, and now croc skin 200W solar panel. The product was sold before I even brought it and you guys know why….is because of the superior quality and price. I’d never have a negative comment on your products especially this one. I hit peak amps with cloud cover which was amazing. I never have to worry about my setup failing me when running hardkorr products which is why I’ll continue to shop and promote your products. Well done!!

An extremely efficient and effective solar panel. Eyelets for securing are a bonus as are the ‘legs’ for tilting the panel.

excellent product sturdy and very effective

Excellent panels. i cant say how well they work with the supplied pwm controller but i am using my 200w crocskin panels with a victron mppt 75/15 which is max 15amp output limited and well in good sun im getting bang on stable 15amps or 200w so this tells me the 200w panels are actually a bit over size so that you still get the advertised 200w with the pwm controller and if my mppt was a higher output i could possibly see more wattage from these panels. usually you wont ever see the full rated wattage as panels are rated to a standard in a lab using 1000w of light over a meter square. anyway the size of these panels suggest with a rough calculation they are around 250w. so far this is the only solar blanket I have tested that outputs the advertised wattage. very happy.
Anthony Napoli –
I am new to the solar blanket world and after doing my research I believe I chose the best out there for a great price!
So far I am very pleased with the quality and durability of the solar blanket. I got to use it on a 2 night camp with a heavy cloud cover and I was sceptical on how the solar mat would perform but it pulled through keeping my lithium battery charged and running my fridge on -01 in an average 28 degree day. I didn’t get too caught up with the numbers and output AH etc but all I know is it bloody worked!! Can’t be happier with this mat.

On the road since June 2020 in a Sprinter Van and struggling to charge the house battery with a 100W roof panel when I started researching Solar Blankets. Checked out every unit in all the camping stores and feedback online before deciding to go with a Hard Korr 200W panel. Purchased in July and had it delivered to Aus Post in Townsville with the order being processed efficiently and promptly. Also very lucky to get it on special for $ 579 and worth every dollar. Best decision we made and have no issues charging our house battery that runs a 110 litre fridge amongst everything else. Perfect supplement to roof solar even on cloudy days. Excellent quality, solid build, easy setup, and reasonably light at 7.5 kg. Legs are a great asset. On windy days we use shock cords to attach panels to the bulbar together with security wire and padlocks via the eyelets so we can safely leave on site when out hiking etc. Extra 2m extension cord made up at Jaycar supplements the 5m cord that comes with the unit but is used rarely. Have many people at campsites check it out when used and we are happy to show it off! Highly recommended and a reliable asset on the road camping as we don’t go to caravan parks.

Highly recommended. Camped for an entire week and this panel kept my nearly 5 year old auxiliary battery (standard Century NZ70 ) fully charged. Previously would only last one night before needing to run the car for a charge. In built stands are great. Regulator and display is great an easy to use. Love that the regulator and cabling is all part of the package as my daughter also used it on her car when my battery was maxed out on charge. Overall build quality is great, it copped rain, a storm and ash (much to my dismay) on this week and didn’t miss a beat. This is my first solar panel and now don’t know how I survived without it. The only thing I will be adding to the kit is making up a 10m extension. Now I can keep the tunes cranking and the beers icy cold 🙂
If I was gong to suggest any improvement it would be to have stands that allow the panel to be angled in opposite directions. This would eliminate having to spin the whole panel 180 degrees to have the panel point at the sun as it goes down. But this is being very fussy, they are a great product as it is.

I purchased the 200 watt unit some time back on special for about about $750 from memory, so extra good value at the current pricing.
I have been permanently on the road since before the purchase and use for both the van and second vehicle batteries. The performance is excellent and I have nothing negative at all to say about the product or the company, just awesome all round. A big thanks to the whole team. John W.

Purchased a 200w solar panel for Cape York trip. I ran two 40l fridges, one as a fridge and one as a freezer.
Was able to maintain charge in second battery when time allowed to stay in one place or return to full charge.
Was very impressed with operation and the sturdiness of the product. Would definitely recommend.

I did alot a research on solar panels tossing up cheaper alternatives but ended up landing on the 200w hardkorr folding panel. I’m am stoked that I did the build quality is excellent from the panels themselves right down to the hardware that comes with it. The regulator is great with the digital display showing how many amps you are producing. Can’t recommend enough.
Jeff Corbett (verified owner) –
Clearly the 200w folding panel is a quality product. When I set it up an hour or so after it arrived by courier the regulator showed its output to be 10.9 amps, a very useful charge into the battery. In the four or five middle hours of the day that’s not uncommon, and a few times I’ve seen a reading over the stated max of 11 amps. I’m pleased I paid the extra for good gear.

I purchased my Hard Korr 200W solar panel to supplement two 160W roof mounted panels on my caravan which is equipped with a power hungry 190 litre compressor fridge and other goodies. Even with two 100W lithium batteries, it is often challenging to keep up with the van’s power requirements on extended stays free camping in the bush, and even moreso when overcast weather sweeps in. On my first trial yesterday, I was delighted to see my new panel delivering an additional 11 A/h to the system at 9:00 am taking my aggregate input to around 26A/h and cruising to 100% batteries charge. The panel performed to the maximum output specified and everything about this panel is as represented. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and with the customer focussed attention I have experienced with Hard Korr. The quality is there, and whilst there are cheaper options on the market, you get what you pay for.

Could not be happier running the 200watt folding panels to the two starting batteries then via a battery isolator to the two in the rear box.
They have been in rain and hail with no issues top product.
Colin Pearse (verified owner) –
The name says it all, my 200 watt portable heavy duty solar panel performed very well, the output is exceptional, even when part of the panel was shaded slightly. I’m very happy, and would highly recommend.
Steven Upton (verified owner) –
Absolutely love this solar panel, very good quality, a pleasure to deal with.
What more could I want.
Brian Hall (verified owner) –
Just bought 2 x 200 w folding pannels. The pannels are great, giving over 11 amps in full sun.
Disappointed with the built in legs however. Very short, so the panels are always almost laying flat. Can’t get the best from early morning or late afternoon sun..
They need to be full length and hinged from the top.

Compare apples with apples…
So I have been running the cheap flexible solar panels for a few years now and like most of us have been unhappy with the results.
For the past 2 weeks, I have done a real word comparison with my new Korr 200W, kings 250W panels, and an eBay set.
I have coped flak from my mates on this trip about how much I paid over their kings and eBay set so I decided to put my money where it counts (6 pack) and decided to have a head to head. so the results? kings 250W panels managed a peak of 120W and eBay 111W. Korrr under the same conditions was 178W. Under real-world conditions, my new Korr panels were out in front by a considerable amount. So while I sat back drinking my free beer my mates were chasing the sun to charge their batteries. These panels are the best I’ve seen, are far more durable than the competition, and backed by a solid company. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a set.

Hi All
We have just upgraded from the Original 200w Blanket to the tougher Panels. The controller now has more Battery profiles to choose from and better connections including Anderson’s, with a heavy duty Flex cable. We tested both Panels while staying at Kumbak Kamping in Kenilworth and the new Panel performed way better than the original Blanket. The built in legs work a treat and the Panel is also heavier now so it does not blow over as much. Both Panels are very high quality and weather resistant ans would suit different applications, mainly when weight is an issue. Ran the panel on a Gel and also AGM on cloudy days, Still had amps running into my Camp battery box.
Damian Wilson (verified owner) –
Very happy with the panel’s so far just need more time out in the scrub. They will get used soon as off for 2 weeks free camping up in the flinders.
Jeff (verified owner) –
Good fast delivery. Easy to setup, with some initial issues as you really need to understand your aux battery charge state and BCDC requirements, noting that we were using the solar blanket in the unregulated mode, however once that was sorted the panels worked like a dream. Tested them out at Quobba Station (North WA) over many days and they reliably charged our battery while running a Dometic 75L fridge/freezer. Compared to friends solar blanket/s, the 200W solar blanket is more sturdy/robust (a little heavier also) and actually produces what is expected.
Very pleased with the product.
Kyla van der Klauw (verified owner) –
Fast delivery, great price for an excellent quality solar panel.
Finally got to test it in the wild last week and it was relatively light and portable and continued charging our batteries even in cloud. My husband loves The regulator. So glad that we upgraded from our old panel.

We recently bought a 200 watt panel and couldn’t be happier with it. We went camping at Adels Grove and it had no problems running our 60 litre Engel and keeping our deep cycle battery charged.
Easy to set up and use and very tough. Very happy with it.
Marcus (verified owner) –
Been very happy with the quality of this product. Working well and seems to produce some good wattage. Strong light and portable. Looking forward to purchasing more Hard Korr products.

Excellent 200W Sola panel . Works a treat

Urs Gruenig –
I use this panel because of its quality, the compactness and the high performance output even in cloudy condition. It is very compact and when folded away it uses very little space behind the driver seat of our VW t6 campervan. We use this 200 Watt panel doing the lap around Australia, every day, in all conditions, rain, wind and dust. Unfortunately the panel has stopped its full performance after 5 month and I assume there is a connection failure between the folding. I reported it to HardKorr and they replaced the panel straight away. This is an excellent product with a trustful and reliable backup Australia wide. Thank you Kirk from HardKorr.
Ian McPhee (verified owner) –
Recently purchased the latest 200watt solar blanket and we are are super impressed with this version. Our battery running our 60lt Engel fridge was charged very quickly even in cloudy weather.
Korr products never let us down. We have been using them for many years now.

Looking at the portable panels they look to be well made and it’s great that they have built in legs. They are a bit awkward to keep the legs out but not impossible and much better to have them then not. The fittings appear to be well made and strong and the fact that I can use the regulator or not is also ideal for me. This regulator will also do lithium batteries so that’s why I bought it. The cable that came with it in my view could be longer then the 5m but other then that it does what it states it will do in amps or maybe just a wee bit more as mine was putting out 11.2amps when I connected it.
Mick & Melissa Sander (verified owner) –
High quality and well designed. I run two panels (in parallel), and they both fit inside the one carry case which makes transportation and storage easier. The panels unfold easily on the roof of my car or on the ground using the inbuilt stands. They are very effective and efficient, providing a good charge to my battery in cloudy conditions and at high angles. A very good product at a reasonable price.
Paul Young (verified owner) –
I purchased the 200 watt solar blanket with 15Amp controller. The controller must have 2 inline 30amp fuses in order to operate safely.
It would have been nice if these were built into the supplied power cables as now I have to hunt around and find some fuses and then fit them.
The Anderson plugs don’t look very weather proof. There are better more weather proof connectors supplied with other solar panels for similar prices. It’s a shame better connectors aren’t fitted to these solar panels given the glowing reviews.
The build quality of the actual panels seems good but they are heavy due to all the copper. 9.0 kg.

Recently purchased hard Kerr hand torch. Great unit. These guys sell good gear.
MARTIN CORCORAN –
the 200w unit is the best that korr light has made yet keep up the good work
Graeme Ware –
A big thank you to Hard Korr Lighting for brilliant product support, we received the upgrade version 200w as a replacement for our original 200w mat that we thought was pretty awesome but this new one is much more user friendly with the built in legs, anderson plugs and packs a punch. We purchased it to mainly charge our truck batteries when not driving and off grid consisting of 4 x 120ah (2x starter 2x house running a 40lt Engel) , we have used it every day for the last 2 weeks consistently pushing 10amp in full direct sun, batteries full by 11am. With the caravan plugged in to truck and charging via a Ctek 250S duel (van has 3x 120ah agm and 300w solar running 175lt Waeco fridge) batteries full by 3pm. A very impressive product.
Will Mulquiney (verified owner) –
Absolutely stoked with the quality and performance of the solar panel. Great output even in cloudy conditions and easy to get maximum output without constant stuffing around to align with the sun.
Fast shipping and great communication from the get go.
Many thanks for the great service and product.
Rod Mayne –
I have 200 watt Korr blanket runs both 60lt and 32lt engels no worries. looking at purchasing another for boat fridge. I also have 160watt foldable waste of time could not keep up charge and had to keep moving into sun and it kept blowing over in wind. Hard Korr great product.
Harry Dick –
Took it camping with us for 3 days& it worked very good, did all that is advertised. have a camper with 2x 100ah batt. & run an 80 litre evakool fridge/freezer lights, water pump, & charge phones. even if not in full sun it was still putting a charge into the batts.,(i was impressed with that). used to have a 160w folding solar panel & it just didn’t do the job. So far so good.
RicCo –
Have been using this mat with a Victron MPPT 75/15 controller for a few months now and are very impressed.
The ease of use is fantastic and being able to set it all up ( cables etc) before loading the panels (exposing to the sun) is a bonus.
Set up, open the mat out and off you go.
Build quality is good and could only suggest better waterproofing on back of Anderson plug adaptor.
I made a frame to angle it to the sun and after initial test have NEVER used it as it is so efficient just laying it on the ground.
Well done Korr Lighting
John Cawood –
Very happy with my two 200W solar mats received today. Both worked out the box and they are so light. Only tested them on a battery that was almost fully charged but tomorrow I will run a 47 liter fridge freezer off the battery and put the solar mat on to see how it performs under load. The controller is good quality and gives you all the info you would need. Seems smart and light.
David Olds –
I just wanted to thank you for your great service. I paid for three 200W solar mats yesterday afternoon, and the mats arrived this morning. Fantastic. I opened up the first box to check the product and found it to be exactly as advertised with very clear instructions. I then set up the mat and connected it and the controller directly to an 85Ah AGM battery in my vehicle. I have a 40lt Engel fridge running on the battery at the same time. When the solar mat is in full sun I was very pleased to see that the system was putting up to 12.3A into the battery for a short time. Once the voltage came up and with the Engel stopped it was consistently charging the battery at 1.5/2A. Needless to say, I am stoked with my purchase. It’s a great product and well made, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Matthew Casey –
We used solar cell last weekend camping. All went well very happy. Thank you.
John Kain –
I recently purchased a 200w folding panel from you for a trip to beautiful Warroora station in the west australian north.
We stayed for a month and used your panel to charge a secondary battery fitted to my ute with a reserve capacity of 130 and 68amp hrs.
I had a 40l engel fridge running exclusively as a freezer from the battery.
This setup ran the freezer without a hitch and made for a comfortable well stocked holiday.
I was most impressed.
